The Boadicea of Britannia Street
06/07/21 – 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM BST

Four women set up a local writers’ group and write a play about the ancient East Anglian queen Boadicea. Cue lots of dressing up in horned warrior helmets and national flags, plus lethal swords and shields – oh – and there’s a pantomime cow! The play is light-hearted and funny and has a lot to say about modern women and their relationships. Never hectoring or patronising, it provides food for thought with the lightest of touches. Written by Ade Morris. Directed by Jo Kearns. In order that audiences can enjoy this mayhem in comfort and personal security, the Players will be following the latest guidelines, family bubbles can be accommodated together, with suitably distanced seating in alternate rows.
